The Story Behind "Thủy Vân"
Thủy Vân Dance Company is a traditional Vietnamese dance group based in Westminster, California. Our company focuses on Kinh (Vietnamese) classical dance, alongside a multitude of ethnic dance styles from across Vietnam. Dance as a visual art allows us to transcend time to preserve our culture and proudly share who we are, and through it we strive to engage with the community, celebrate Vietnamese culture, and deepen our connection to our heritage.
Our name reflects the values we hold as a company. Thủy (water) embodies fluidity and hope, while Vân (clouds) symbolizes fortune and change. Together, Thủy Vân represents the harmony of sky and sea, and our commitment to preserving authentic Vietnamese dance while carrying it forward through generations.
Vũ Đoàn Thủy Vân là nhóm múa dân gian tại Miền Nam Cali với mục đích gìn giữ văn hóa Việt Nam. Thủy Vân là một nhóm múa độc lập, bao gồm các em sinh ra và lớn lên tại Mỹ nhưng có niềm đam mê với múa truyền thống Việt Nam.
"Thủy Vân" là sự hòa quyện hình ảnh bầu trời và biển cả, giữ trọn nét tinh túy của nghệ thuật múa Việt Nam giữa dòng chảy thời gian.
